90 percent of the books about Medjugorje do not represent the truth, says visionary Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo who urges people not to buy any books about the place. She further laments and criticizes a widespread use of television, and calls tv a common excuse for people to avoid to pray.

Medjugorje pilgrims should not buy books about the apparitions, for the far majority of the available books are not being loyal towards the truth, Medjugorje visionary Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo says in a so far un-translated August 2012 interview to the Italian online magazine Io Acqua e Sapone.
“I want to tell you, as brothers and sisters, not to spend money buying all these books in stores. Because 90 percent of them is not the truth, because each of these writers are here in Medjugorje for ten days, and then write a book” Mirjana says.

“Take the Rosary, take a prayer book, that is what is important and saves us, not all of these books in stores” she further advices.
The visionary also warns against television which she encourages people to turn off, or least make sure does not come to be an obstruction to prayer:
“Television is often against life, against children, against love, but we can turn it off! Television is an excuse not to pray, but when someone wants to pray, it is not always an excuse. If you do not have a tv in the house, you will find another excuse not to pray” Mirjana says.

“To me, it is a sin to have a tv in the house, it is a sin how you use it because, as parents, we have the strength to determine what is good for children, and what is not. We have to say that now, in this room, there is prayer.”
In the interview, Mirjana further tells that the messages the Virgin Mary gives her during her apparitions on the second day of each month are being written down immediately because she has forgotten the exact wording of the relatively long messages already by the time when she returns to her house:

“For me, to be with the Madonna is like being in Heaven, but it is not easy to know that tomorrow you will be in heaven, and then, however, it will end. This is why I always prepare with prayer and fasting, and immediately after the apparition I only have the strength to just pass on the message” she says.
“In fact there is always someone close to me with pen and paper. The messages on every second day of the month are long enough, and so it is important that you pass them on right away because already when I get home, I remember what she said in the message, but not the exact words. And it is important that I do interfere my own words with what the Madonna said.”
